Manager's Update for March 7, 2009

Mea Culpa! I honestly hadn't realized how long it's been since I posted an update here, and I truly apologize! As my way of making up for the ridiculously long wait, I'm posting a whole TON of pictures here! I hope you enjoy them!

SIGNS

First, we'll start with the new signs. I actually thought that I had posted these already, but I can't find them anywhere, so I'm going under the assumption that I've been imagining things, and posting them now. If I did already post them (and you saw them), just skip down to the next section. :o)

The "BEFORE" section is of course the old signs. The "DURING" section is pictures that were taken while the signs were being installed. Please forgive me - I have more pictures of the West side sign because, frankly, it's the one that was done first, and by the time they got done with it I was getting tired of taking pictures of sign work and I didn't take as many of the East. The "AFTER" section is of course the new signs.

The woman in the white in the first picture is Holly Jones, VP of Daily Management. That's me in the purple in the second picture. (Feel free to stop laughing now!)

FENCES

Now we'll move on to the new fences. The West fence that was replaced is the one that runs the length of the West and South sides of the building. This isn't something that guests saw from outside much, but guests who were on that side could see it from their bathroom windows, and it really was an eyesore. The hurricane did quite a bit of damage to a section of it, and it really needed to be replaced. We decided to go with a PVC fence to give us and the neighbors a little more privacy. Since the West fence was installed first, we'll show it first.

Usually I show "BEFORE" and "AFTER" pictures separately, but it just happened that when I looked at the "before" and "after" pictures, I had taken most of them in almost the same places. So I decided for this set to show you the "before" right next to the "after" of each section. :o)

I wasn't as fortunate with the East side pictures, so I'll show you all the "BEFORE" then all the "AFTER" pictures in groups again. :o)

I actually do have more pictures, but I'm going to save them for another day. This computer is misbehaving, and if I don't quit now it might end up in the pool! Watch for another update soon!
